The Oxley Creek Transformation Project will put Paradise Lakes in prime position to enjoy easy access to a wide range of parklands and leisure themed green spaces. Brisbane City Council has committed $100 million over 20 years to the Oxley Creek Transformation project which will revitalise Oxley Creek, from the Brisbane River at Tennyson to Larapinta, into a lifestyle and leisure destination, connecting new parkland precincts and green spaces to complement Brisbane’s subtropical, outdoor lifestyle.
The project will incorporate a number of key component including:
- a 20-kilometre recreation trail from the Brisbane River to Warril Parkland in Larapinta;
- a world-renowned birdwatching destination at Oxley Creek Common;
- a regional parkland at Archerfield Wetlands;
- progressive improvements to habitats, vegetation, waterway stability and water quality.
